Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity Is The Prequel To Zelda: Breath Of The Wild

Nintendo announced Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity with a short trailer that dove into the sequence of events that serve as the backstory for The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. The hack and slash gameplay of the first Hyrule Warriors game returns alongside the vivid cel-shaded graphics that made Breath of the Wild so gorgeous to look at. Set 100 years before Zelda wakes Link, Hyrule Warrirors: Age of Calamtiy gives players the chance to juggle the narrative roles and gameplay mechanics of Link, Zelda, and the four Champions of Hyrule in their attempt to repel Calamity Ganon. Don’t forget to bring a friend along for the adventure; Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity will support local 2-player coop.

Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity releases on November 20 for Nintendo Switch. Does the announcement of the prequel get you excited for the future of the Breath of the Wild saga? We’ve compiled a list of features we’d love to see in the game’s sequel.
