Mike Morhaime Launches Dreamhaven With Other Blizzard Veterans

Blizzard co-founder Mike Morhaime (who also served as president and CEO) officially left the company last year. Today, Morhaime revealed that he is reuniting with many of his Blizzard peers in a new gaming venture: a company called Dreamhaven.

According to the announcement, Dreamhaven will “create and publish original games for players around the world.” To accomplish that goal, the company has established two development studios called Moonshot Games and Secret Door. Both of them are led by an impressive list of industry veterans with extensive experience at Blizzard, including games like World of Warcraft, Starcraft II, and Hearthstone.

You can read more about the staff and each studio’s goals in Dreamhaven’s announcement. Even though no actual games have been announced yet, this is certainly an exciting development – especially for fans of Blizzard’s previous work.
